2 History of Tribal Submissions 2002 – 28 tribal submissions Navajo Nation, first tribe to submit using a node 2005 – 3 tribes tribes 9 Facility 14 Point 16 Nonpoint 7 Onroad 8 Nonroad 2011 – Submission due date 12/31/2012

3 How WAS the NEI created? If no tribal data - Point inventory – Augmented data from state files, TRI, etc. – Double reporting state/tribes Nonpoint – Past NEIs were county-based data Onroad/Nonroad – Past NEIs used county-level activity data

5 How is the NEI created now? Several values from various data sources General Purpose Release to public is a single value Tribal and state value is our first choice No tribal data creates a hole
