What is the EOG? The test assesses the students in math and reading on grade level. The test is NOT created by Discovery Education like our Benchmarks. The test is created by the state of North Carolina.

When is the EOG Administered? Wednesday May 28 th Thursday May 29 th

EOG Test Breakdown Math- –Taken on one day, unlike previous EOGs. –44 questions –Second section of the test allow calculator use. We have calculators, no need to provide any from home. –Questions allowing calculator use: 22

Tips for Test Day Do something FUN the night before the tests. There will not be any homework Go to bed early Eat a nutritious breakfast with protein –Breakfast will be provided at school Arrive to school on time! –Students who arrive late cannot be admitted to the classroom once the test has started. –They will have to take the test on make-up days.

How We’ve Prepared… Online resources throughout the year –Probes, AR, Study Island, Moby Math, etc. Tutoring- after school Remediation groups during the day Discovery benchmarks review in classrooms

Portfolios 12 skills must be passed with 70% mastery. (11 correct out of 15 on 3 passages in each skill) Incomplete portfolios for students who do not pass the EOG will be continued in summer school and transitional 4 th grade.
