Project Summary Show that hormone compounding does work Using Hormone levels of test subjects Show Benefits of using Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy Educate public about options for their selves and/or family members

Introduction Women who are aging are faced with whether or not to initiate hormone replacement therapy to reduce the effects of unwanted menopausal symptoms. Understanding Bio- Identical Hormone Therapy Better than “One-Size Fits All” Approach Symptoms Relief Dosage Forms

Objective/Hypothesis Objective: To find out what the effects are if a woman DOES NOT take needed compounded hormones versus a woman who DOES take the needed hormones to supplement their low levels. Hypothesis: I believe the women that DO take the replacement hormones will have less signs and symptoms of menopause as opposed to the women who DO NOT take the needed replacement hormones.

Methods and Materials Data Sheet: Hormone Levels of Test Subjects Women Who Are Taking Hormone Replacement Hormone Levels Age(Beginning)(4 Weeks)(8 Weels)(12 Weeks) Subject 1 (49) Subject 2 (52) Women Who Are Not Taking Hormone Replacement Hormone Levels Age(Beginning)(4 Weeks)(8 Weels)(12 Weeks) Subject 1 (49) Subject 2 (52)

Methods and Materials Each subject will have hormone levels checked using a saliva test, which is sent off to a lab to obtain results, before any hormones are used After hormone replacement starts saliva tests will be done at 1 month, 2 months, and finally at 3 months The subjects will use hormones compounded in the cream dosage forms There will be 2 Test Subjects and 2 Control Subjects

Expected Results and Benefits I expect results to show the need for these compounded hormones for women going through menopause Benefits of Hormone Replacement Guard against heart disease Decrease in bone loss Raise HDL (good) cholesterol Eliminate or reduce hot flashes Reduce sleep difficulties Increase Energy Improve Cognitive Functions Improve skin elasticity
