 Heart is a muscle.  Heart is about the same size and shape of your own fist.  Heart pumps blood to the lungs and the body through arteries and gets blood back from the body and the lungs through veins.

It sits between your lungs, behind your ribcage for protection

 Pump  Heartbeat.  Blood carries oxygen  Nutrients.  Body needs oxygen and nutrients to work properly
