The Plight of Nepali Children in Numbers More than a third of Child-Population lives below the poverty line. 50% Suffer from Malnutrition. 10% do not attend school at all. More than 50% defecate in open spaces. Nearly 70% are deprived of deprived of at least one of these seven basic human needs: shelter, sanitation, water, information, food, education and health.

IT GETS WORSE FOR THOSE BORN IN RURAL AREAS

In Numbers: Children in Rural Nepal Child Poverty is 3 times higher in rural households than urban households. 41% of rural children are underweight. 50% of rural children are stunted (low height for age)

We could go on and on with cold data and statistics. Let us set that aside for a moment. How about interpreting the statistics? What does it say about US?
