Matriculate Verb To admit or be admitted into a group Usually used when speaking of college or university enrollment It is Sharyland High School’s goal to see 100% of its students matriculate into post-secondary education.

Methodical Adjective Characterized by precise action or planning, deliberate, systematic, sedulous He was methodical in his completion of the assignment. At each step, he double checked his work, making sure that he was following directions carefully.

Prescient Adjective Having knowledge of things before they come to pass, having foresight He was prescient and could see what would become of him if he dropped out of school. He decided to stick it out until graduation, because he knew it would pay off in the end.

Since they have a premonition, you could say the Black Eyed Peas are prescient. They can see that tonight’s going to be a good night…

Retrospection Noun The action of looking back on things in the past, reflecting, revisiting the past John zoned out, staring at the window in a state of retrospection, thinking of how he wished he take back what he said that morning to Diana.

Reverie Noun A daydream, a state of absent mindedness Music can take you away from where you are, it can be a reverie from the chaos of the world.

Seethe Verb To surge, foam, or boil To be in a state of agitation, specific to anger The young boy seethed with anger towards his older brother. It just wasn’t fair that he always got what he wanted! If you seethe in silence, you are passive aggressive.

Stately Adjective Majestic, elegant, dignified Mostly used to describe things like homes, trees, statues, monuments. The stately homes in Washington DC were beautiful and dignified. It seemed that only the highest officers would live inside.
