EARLY LIFE BORN: AUGUST 23 RD 1754 AT VERSAILLES MARRIED MARIE ANTOINETTE AT THE AGE OF 15 WANTED TO BE A LOCKSMITH HIS ELDEST BROTHER DIED PUTTING HIM NEXT IN LINE TO THE THRONE GOOD AT HISTORY AND LANGUAGES

WAS HE READY TO BE KING? AT THE AGE OF 20 HE WAS PUT ON THE THRONE HE WAS IMMATURE AND INDECISIVE HAD NO IMAGINATION LIKED THE OUTDOORS, BUT COULDN’T HANDLE THE PRESSURE OF THE COURTS LEARNED ABOUT PREVIOUS RULERS

PRIME MINISTERS TURGOT- TURGOT’S IDEA OF REFORM WAS ABOLITION OF THE MONOPOLY OF THE GUILDS, THE ROYAL CORVÉE TURGOT WAS DISMISSED BECAUSE TOO MANY PEOPLE OPPOSED OF THIS IDEA NECKER-NECKER GREW A REPUTATION FOR BEING A FINANCIAL GENIUS. HE FINANCED FRENCH AID TO THE AMERICAN COLONIES IN THEIR STRUGGLE AGAINST ENGLAND WITHOUT RAISING TAXES. NECKER WAS ALSO DISMISSED CALONNE-AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS, HE CONCLUDED THAT THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR THE GROWING DEFICIT WAS TO TAX THE PRIVILEGED GROUPS ONCE AGAIN, HE WAS DISMISSED

ESTATES GENERAL AFTER ALL THE PRIME MINISTERS DIDN’T HELP THE FINANCIAL CRISIS: LOUIS XVI HAD TO CALL THE MEETING THAT HASN’T BEEN CALLED FOR 175 YEARS THIS MEETING CONSISTED OF: FIRST ESTATE, SECOND ESTATE, AND THIRD ESTATE FIRST AND SECOND ESTATES WERE PRIVILEGED

EXECUTION LOUIS XVI IS TRIED FOR TREASON AFTER THE STORMING OF THE BASTILLE HE IS FOUND GUILTY HE IS EXECUTED BY THE GUILLOTINE ON JANUARY 21 ST 1793
