How did the Puritans view their faith? How did many of them change their faith?

Puritans Christians who wanted to purify the Church of England (reform it) They had the most dynamic Christian force in the American Colonies They lived strictly by the Bible

When Puritans first immigrated to America in Puritan influence disappeared by the end of the seventeenth century. The Scarlet letter takes place during the mid seventeenth century.
