Michael Vick, Bad Newz Kennels On April 25, 2007, a drug search warrant was issued to police to search then quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. When the police arrived, they found much more than drugs, they found that he had been running an illegal Dog Fighting ring on premises. Seventy dogs were seized, most of which were Pit Bull Terriers, and many of which showed signs of injury. Allegedly, there had also been executions of dogs that did not perform well. The case gained great sensation, and very quickly, because of the gruesome nature of the crime, as well as its high profile defendant.
