Nickelodeon's history dates back to December 1, 1977, when QUBE, the first two-way major market interactive cable television system was launched in Columbus, Ohio by Warner Cable it had ten TV shows Pinwheel was relaunched as Nickelodeon on April 1, Despite its prior history on the QUBE system under the Pinwheel name, Nickelodeon designated 1979 as the channel's official launch year. The channel began airing on various Warner Cable systems, beginning in Buffalo, New York. Originally a commercial-free cable channel By October 1990, Nickelodeon was seen in 52 million homes across the United States. In 1990, Nickelodeon opened Nickelodeon Studios, a television studio/attraction at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando HISTORY

NICKELODEON Nickelodeon is a international brand it is a Television based industry but through the years it has built many different amusements parks so people around the world can see all the characters and what is has associations with. As nickelodeon is owned by Viacom and Viacom's owns paramount so they put up nickelodeon universe at paramount's kings island attraction. Nickland was the first attraction outside of America which was in movie park Germany where it had some Nick theme rides. Teen nick is a TV channel and the headquarters is New York City America but it has broadcasting areas in The Netherlands, Belgium, India and Mexico.

Acquisition of the Nickelodeon company is if someone wants to buy and takeover the company and the person who takes over the company's share will be put in stock exchange. Broadcasting at nickelodeon is a big sector because there are so many different jobs such as animation, live comedy, preschool and educational shows that have to be filmed and aired. Various animations such as SpongeBob and rugrats. Commercials in nickelodeon would be filming and putting ideas into how to get the new shows or products advertised so people will want to watch it. The consumer goods the final project you need people to watch the end of the TV shows to make sure they fit the right a gender and target audience. You need many people in the creative section for new ideas on shows and how to please there target audience to keep making them watch the shows. This can also be joint with digital media as they pass the designs on so they can save all the ideas for the shows on digital devices. IT in the nickelodeon is a massive part of the industry such as publishing all the different things they have to do with the internet such as the website and getting everything across. All the other jobs include marketing,operations,press,production and research Jobs in this media sector

Nickelodeon is owned by Viacom which is worldwide multinational and its headquarters is in One Astor Plaza in Manhattan New York. Viacom is a mass media company they own the following productions; MTV films, Nickelodeon movies, Paramount animations, Paramount pictures and Viacom international. They also own the following TV networks; BET, CMT, Comedy Central, logo, MTV, MTV2, Nick at nite, Nick jr, Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, Palladia, Spike, Teennick, Tr3s, TV LAND, VH1 They also own to game companies Game trailers and Neopets. It is a public company which means it will put offer in public exchange Viacom operates approximately 170 networks reaching approximately 700 million subscribers in 160 countries As Viacom is multinational meaning that the company operating in several countries and because Viacom has many divisions all the headquarters are in different places such as the United International Pictures headquarters are in London so there will be people coming from headquarter to headquarter to keep up to date with everything. There a sub Viacom for people in Europe which is called Viacom International Media Networks which has headquarters in Warsaw Poland and London England it was previously MTV Europe this is a multinational television industry Viacom is the parent to all the above industry or shows I have mentioned Viacom
