Presentation transcript:

Trip to Israel, Dec-Jan : The flight to Israel, part 3 Waking up to a snowy morning – Hahgoot was the first up and at the window, which was very surprising!

When we got off the plane in Korea I spotted a family I vaguely remembered from Kishkashta meeting long ago, so we quickly made friends. Udi and Keren have two lovely kids: Agam, who is exactly Hahgoot’s age, and Ella, who is in Preschool. We met them again at breakfast. The girls couldn’t wait to finish their food and head out to touch the snow. Keren wasn’t prepared for the cold weather, so Udi took the kids to the pool instead.

Ah, breakfast was fantastic... I tried everything I could: savoury, sweet, Asian dumplings, French pastry...

Before going out Keren and I went to the Korean Airlines desk at the hotel and changed our seats so we could all sit close together in the next flight (which was going to be half empty). The girls amused themselves by crawling on the carpets. At last we put on all the winter gear and went outside, just to the front entrance, to touch real snow!

We were outside probably less than half an hour. The girls were very enthusiastic, but the freezing temperatures and very slippery sidewalk convinced them we should keep the experience short and sweet.

Once back at the hotel room, they were happy to make a combined artwork about their experience in the snow.

The girls enjoyed the hotel Christmas decorations and for some odd reason really enjoyed crawling all over the carpets in the Lobby... Not sure if it was the jet lag, lack of movement the previous day or the giraffe spots print...

Lunch was great – more pasta for the girls. They liked the Pororo plates as well. What they really liked, though, were the great ice cream and desserts!

Alma couldn’t decide what to have first so she had everything at once...

As we headed to our shuttle bus after lunch the snow started to fall again softly. In our next presentation: Trying to make the most out of the three hours delay at the airport
