1923 Beer Hall Putsch—Hitler attempts to overthrow local authorities in Munich, and Fails The right-wing presiding judges sympathized with Hitler and sentenced him to only five years in prison

1925 While in prison, Hitler wrote volume one of Mein Kampf (My Struggle), printed in 1925 Hitler is released from Prison and begins to rebuild the Nazi Party By the end 1925 membership is 27,000- by ,000
