Mr. Anthis 101 Born: November 19, 1978 in Houston, TX Raised: Spring, TX Schools: Greenwood Elementary, Wunderlich Intermediate, Klein Forest High (Class of 1997)

Mr. Anthis 101 Colleges: Texas A&M University, East Texas Baptist University (Class of 2004, B.A. History); currently working on Masters of Education in Counseling at Houston Baptist University! Jobs: Youth Minister ( ); SS Teacher (NCA ), (AMS ), (WMS ), (RMS ), (AMS 2015-?)

Responsibilities of the Student Keep an agenda/planner. Bring supplies. (BE PREPARED!) Keep papers in proper section of binder (BE ORGANIZED!) Makeup work or notes that you miss. Let teacher know you are or will be absent (BE RESPONSIBLE!) Check the class website Come to tutoring if you want or need clarification/assistance on notes/assignments

Grading Formative: 40% –Class Work –Quizzes (double) –Homework Summative: 60% –Tests –Projects

Late Work Policy (Formatives) 1 Day Late –Max grade 90 2 Days Late –Max grade 80 3 Days Late –Max grade 70 After 3 Days, a grade of zero will be entered in the gradebook! Parent notification will be made after the 2 nd day late, or if a pattern of late work is occurring.

Late Work Policy (Summatives) Fail to Submit –Reminder to student 1 Day Late –Parent contact 2 Days Late –Refer to AP 3 Days Late –ISS 1-Day Final opportunity to complete assignment

Academic Conduct/Procedures Tigers ROAR Tigers SLANT Students who make A’s for the 9 weeks get an AMS Tiger Star with their name on it (see black wall).

He/She will follow ROAR and SLANT at all times. He/she will do his/her best and show effort even when its hard. When he/she fails, he/she will learn from his/her mistakes and commit to work harder the next time. Each day he/she will make the choice to have a good attitude in this class! How can your student succeed in Texas History?
