1.Create pages : Home, About Me 2.Write blog posts and categorize them as: 1.Responding to Literature: These are written responses to the texts that we read. The responses will be open-ended, which means you choose the topic. You can write about questions you have, things that made you curious, the use of figurative language or other connections you made with the outside world. 2.My Own Writing: This includes writing experiments, activities, or challenges that you revise from work done in class or at home. 3.Journal Reflection: This is a look back at what you wrote. These can be pieces of writing that you do in response to questions about your writing progress as you think about your growth as a writer and reader. This also gives me insight on how to support you as your teacher. 3. Tag your work with labels specific to your piece of writing (Ex. Medieval Unit, Sonnet or Ode) 4.You will be required to publish 1 Blog Post and 2 Comments per week. There will also be “portfolio check-ins” once per marking period with one final project grade by the end of the year. You will be graded on the following criteria: Organization Focus and Content Style Correct Use of Conventions Participation

Do’s and Don’t Do: -use images and color to make your posts interesting - use proper grammar - check the look of your blog by going to your blog link - HAVE FUN! Don’t: - use your full name - spend too much time on the blog
