 Use an apostrophe to show possession. The possession is named after the owner.  Plural nouns do NOT need an apostrophe. Plural just means there are more than one of that thing.  Note: Just because a word has an “s” at the end does not mean it needs an apostrophe!! In Ms. Bates’ class, this is going to be a zero-sum issue: it happens, you rewrite the entire sentence.

1. Mr. Rinkoski’s bass was stolen out of his car. 2. Mr. Walker owns more video games than anyone else I’ve ever met. 3. My boyfriend’s dogs are named Thing One and Thing Two.  Now write three sentences of your own that include both plural and possessive nouns.
