What a Producer Does… A music producer is a professional who works with recording artists and bands, sound engineers, record labels and marketing teams to oversee all creative and technical aspects of an album.

Education Required…? Music production is one of the few jobs, well paying careers where you are not required to have a degree. BUT, the more successful producers have a degree in music or business. Top Degrees Salary Range Bachelors Degree $25,532 - $97,871 Associate's Degree $5,892 - $31,500 Bachelor of Arts Degree(BA) Not enough data

Salary… Salary estimates vary based on the label, but the major label producers earn $30,000 to more than $50,000 annually.
