SUMMARY After viewing three years of data, it is observed that, although often comparable to the district in the number of students meeting proficiency, John Wesley Dobbs fourth graders often fall behind the district in exceeding the performance standards in all subject areas.

DISCUSSION How can we use this data to effectively provide rigorous instruction for all students; in an effort to increase the number of students exceeding on the fourth grade CRCT? Brainstorm questions about current instruction. Phrase all responses as questions. Write questions exactly as stated- no editing questions. Classify questions as closed ended or open ended. Choose three questions that you think are most important, then choose the most important of these. Write the most important questions at the top of a new piece of paper and brainstorm new question about it. Follow the two rules above. Prioritize again. Choose the three most important questions.
