Indonesian Nurses working in Kuwait since We have approximately 600 nurses now. A short survey covered 25%, With years of experience in Kuwait to understand their opinion of their adjustment. A questionnaire was used as a tool

The analysis shows Personal feeling “ My choice is good – coming to Kuwait ” (64%) “ We could built Good Inter Personal Relationship” (75%) “ I want to stay longer in Kuwait” ( 60%)

In relation to work setting  Have good communication with their superiors(60%)  No difficulty in understanding their clients.(41%)  Cooperative with their colleagues in their work settings (64%)

Their response towards difficulties faced in Kuwait I. Their response towards difficulties faced in Kuwait Communication problem in general. Cultural differences. Home sickness. Stress regarding schooling for their children in Kuwait ( those with family )

II. Attainments from Kuwait - Professional: Gained extensive experience in some nursing specialties (like dialysis, Emergency, orthopedic etc ) Learnt to be patience Learnt Arabic language. Opportunity for Religious practices.

III. Chances in attending In-Service- education Programs : Had opportunities in attending In-Service education programs (vary between 1 –9 times)

Indonesian Diploma nurses are educationally well prepared, able to manage smoothly with clients & colleagues, BUT - 1.Preferably graduate nurses (University level)- ( According to WHO minimum requirement is Bachelor degree in Nursing by 2015).

2. Nursing curriculum need to include: A.Anthropology subject. B.Human relation. C.English as medium of instruction – with concentration on conversation. D.Arabic language ( elective course) to those who plan to work in Arab countries.

3.Training in specialized area after graduation before going abroad ( Minimum 3 years) I would advise Nursing academy institutions in Indonesia to be affiliated to a recognized university in your country. OR Accredited by recognized accreditation body from other country.
