MicroSync™ Water Meter AMI Suite Process Presentation
Business/Technical Challenges Conventional Water Meters Accuracy -- Low It uses Mechanical counter. Cannot measure low starting flow-- friction Flow of air measured Reverse flow can damage the counter Control -- NIL Communications -- Not available Theft Detection -- Poor & Ineffective Data Collection -- Fully Manual Customer satisfaction -- Very Low PAST
Micro Sync ® - Architecture
Introducing “Micro Sync® ” -- Overview Micro Sync Meters Micro Sync Server Meter Management System Comms Customer System Billing System Ability to talk directly to Server A collection of hardware and software for meter management and control kept at the providers location Exposes Meter core data to external system via API
Introducing Micro Sync– Water Meter Electronic water meter with built in intelligence. No More Manual Intervention for data collection- Complete Automation Capable of sending/receiving Data- Built in communication facility Detects flow of air but not measured- Improved Accuracy User friendly interface - LCD Display Electronic parts totally isolated from water flow -- magnetic coupled Easy installation-Plug and Play
The complete process - simplified Installation Initialization Operation Measure Act upon Server commands Server Send Data
Features Built in intelligence records consumption with date & time. Case Tampering recorded with date & time and flagged at the server. History of last 72 readings with date & time Maintain real time clock thereby ensuring no data loss. Direct one to one communication between meter and server. Low Operational cost No more Manual intervention Air flow not measured thereby increasing customer satisfaction Faster installation – Does not require infrastructure changes Web enabled Services – Online Data availability
Reporting Time based Consumption Based
Integration of AMR solution on existing Bulk Meters Additional Feature Integration of AMR solution on existing Bulk Meters Existing Bulk Water meters which are magnetic coupled are converted into AMR meters. The system is charged either directly by power or in areas where there are power cuts the system is provided with Solar panels for charging batteries. The provider need not invest in the meter cost. This will help the provider reduce the overall cost of implementation. These Bulk Meters will also provide flow rate data ( in LPM ) for better efficiency. Any undue pressure variation or any breakage in the pipeline is reported to the maintenance department by the server by detecting any variation in the flow rate. Power on / off status reported by the meters on the server. This helps the provider regulate the pumping based on power availability

Our Milestones Completed Field trials with Tamil Nadu Water and Drainage Board in Sivagangai District. Presently executing project at Devakottai in Tamil Nadu of converting bulk water meters into AMR Meters. In the process of putting field trial with Hubli Jal Board. Presentation and demonstration of the system with various Water Authorities outside India
