Access Destiny by typing destiny into the web address box How to Find a Book and Other Materials Destiny, is the name of the online public access catalog (OPAC) used at North Tapps Middle School Library. It is through this OPAC that you are able to find out what library materials are available at the NTMS Library or the district.

Selecting North Tapps Middle School brings you to a basic Catalog Search. OPAC has many ways for you to find books!

Search your library collection or the district

You may conduct your search in many ways. Keyword, Title, Author, Subject Series. Type what you want in the Find box

Destiny To search for something, type in the search term here The search term is what you want to find Remember, correct spelling makes it easier!

Destiny If it is an author, type in their LAST NAME. For Anthony Horowitz ‘horowitz’ And click AUTHOR Don’t worry about CAPITALS.

If we had misspelled his name, we still could find it if we looked on the list. Click on the “Browse Authors” tab Destiny

How to Start a New Search To start a new or revise your search, be sure to follow the breadcrumb trail

Browsing Subjects Reminder: When you are searching for a topic and you don’t see what you are looking for always remember the “Browse” tab. This will give you a list or help narrow the possible subjects you may be looking for.

Destiny Quest  Destiny Quest is another means to searching the catalog.  It is a K-12 student- friendly searching interface.

Destiny Quest  With Destiny Quest, you will be able to see the top 10 books  New arrival titles highlighted on the Destiny Quest homepage,  Search the library collection, browse the scrolling carousel of bookshelves, view book covers, and link to title details from any computer with an Internet connection.

Destiny Quest  Enter your search terms at the top and click GO  You might find that the program makes suggestions for you

Narrow your search  Quickly see if the book you want is available  Narrow your search by number of pages, reading levels, etc.

More on Narrowing your Search  You can select to narrow your search by reading level, pages, etc. Once you “Apply”, you will see which items fit your new search criteria

Destiny Quest By laying your mouse over the book, you can gain more information.
