How to inculcate 21 st century skills in students?

Through Problem Based Learning(PBL)

What is PBL? “Problem-based learning (PBL) is a student- centered instructional strategy in which students collaboratively solve problems and reflect on their experiences. It was pioneered and used extensively at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada”.

The Materials department at Queen Mary, University of London was the first Materials department in the UK to introduce PBL.

Characteristics of PBL are: Learning is driven by challenging, open-ended problems Students work in small collaborative groups. Teachers take on the role as "facilitators" of learning.

The Project’s Background Pakistan is faced with one of the historical biggest floods these day which have devastated a large area of our country. In this stage of acute desperation & disappointment what role can our students play being in their own capacity?
