See EMTA paper (ref ???) – Mrs Kopczinska head of Clean & Urban transport / Guido Müller for ITS Expert Group 3 candidates confirmed (VOR, STIF, ZTM Warsaw) Use of the ITS working group as back-up – activity plan for Contact with EP TRAN Committee – EMTA sent “reflexions on Passenger Rights” April 2010 – Met with president Brian Simpson on 5 October (left update message on White Paper (see website) A European level Working Groups Foreseen Activities 2011

4 EMTA working groups 1/3 Usually three working groups are running at the same time new emphasis in is ITS ITS Working Group – Reactivated with Action Plans of DG-MOVE and ITS – Participation to DG-MOVE workshop/ Conf March & Jun 2010 – Will support and fuel the 3 delegates work to ITS-Expert- platform, possibly back-up EMTA participation in Galileo project. – Preparation for First meeting of EC- ITS Expert Group 9 Dec10 Innovation is universally understood to be crucial for the growth of our economies but we’re held back by fragmented licensing and copyrights regime_ need for cross borders application, common rules for data collection etc… List of recommended topics to bring forward circulated to WG participants common concerns to sort out then priorities to give with help from Referee at the Board European level Membership Surveys Working groups A European level Working Groups Foreseen Activities 2011

5 EMTA working groups 2/3 ITS Working Group EMTA first position laid down in the hearing report Dec 09 (ref???) Probably 2 sub-groups on e-ticketing and on travel information (tbc and leaders to find) – Articulation with possible Galileo project Give a hand to explore – Several request for support to various EU projects – dissemination only accepted; European level Membership Surveys Working groups A European level Working Groups Foreseen Activities 2011

6 EMTA working groups 3/3 Accessibility Working Group met in Madrid CRTM Sept 2010 – Current Survey on Access to heavy rail for the disabled passengers (on going) first findings encouraging – View to present findings in Conference INTERMODES Brussels Feb 2011 – Circulate at EU Disability policy level/DG Social & Employment and to Disabled representatives at European level) – ITS application through Galileo project probably co-monitoring with the ITS WG for the “accessibility aspect” Barometer Working group – Support for the on going activity of data collecting – 2 new tasks are the tariff structure benchmarking (STIF leader) and customer satisfaction trend monitoring (leader ?) 7 Activities 2011 Participation into Conferences UITP Conference in Gothenburg SE – Participation with speakers sessions 3 and 6 mostly (overview of several examples rather than single case presentation) INTERMODES conference presentation of AWG findings – Topic is Intermodality and accessibility 9-10 Feb 2011 ITF International Transport Forum Leipzig May 2011 – Topic is “Transport and Society” – Proposal for speakers and/or material for exhibitions European level Membership Surveys Working groups A European level Working Groups Foreseen Activities 2011

8 Activities 2011 Other tasks: Providing case studies on specific subjects, following meeting with TRAN president – As a contribution to the revision of the TEN-T policy, Build a paper on removing bottlenecks in specific areas where urban and interurban areas overlap (Brussels- some cross border regions …) Think about EMTA strategy with regard other similar associations for better efficiency and visibility (national similar associations (Observatorio in Spain, UITP comittees…) European level Membership Surveys Working groups A European level Working Groups Foreseen Activities 2011
