Toilets, Transport Treatment & Training This presentation highlights the training programmes, workshops and activities that are available for SafiSan Projects Training materials were developed for: 1.WSP members of staff 2.County Resident Monitors (CRMs) 3.Project Task Teams (PTTs) 4.Social Animators 5.Sanitation Teams 6.DTF Operators 7.Artisans 8.Toilet users The SafiSan Toolkit contains all the training materials & tools (see Module 3) 2

Emptying, transport, treatment and SafiSan Project training Staff members of the Water Service Providers (WSPs) and the County Resident Monitors (CRMs) will receive in-depth training on the various aspects of decentralised treatment: How to identify & secure an appropriate site for the DTF/composting shed? How to construct a DTF/composting shed? How to operate a DTF/composting shed? 4

UBSUP Social marketing: The target groups The following groups/categories will be given special attention: 1.Householders 2.Landlords & landladies (rights and responsibilities) 3.Tenants (sanitation is a human right!!) 4.Women 5.Children (School WASH, hand-washing awareness & promotion) “There is no such thing as selling to the general public” (Boffin, 2001; 58) 5
