Why Res-Q-JackTM ? It’s the right tool for the job ! The Res-Q-Jack™ Vehicle Stabilization System was designed out of recognition of a need for equipment which is not only user friendly to the rescue team, but equipment that is patient-friendly. This system was developed knowing the simple fact that stabilization does not get the patient out of the wreck. The Res-Q-Jack™ System design allows the team to spend less effort and time on stabilization and more on patient removal and care.

Why Res-Q-JackTM ? It’s Simple ! The components of the Res-Q-Jack™ System are easily understood. There is no guesswork in how the components fit together or function. Many features were incorporated in keeping the system user friendly. The extension tubing is perforated on all four sides with holes one inch on center. This feature eliminates the search for pinning locations and allows for pinning in any direction. It also saves time by allowing the user placing the pin to get it right the first time without thinking about how the pin is inserted.

Why Res-Q-JackTM ? . . . . . . simplicity The simplicity is in every detail. For example, the pins utilize a tablock mechanism which eliminate the need for extra parts like lanyards or cotter pins. This pin design allows the user to keep his or her gloves on while working with the pins without any resulting loss in time. In fact, time is saved by eliminating the glove removal/donning cycle.

Why Res-Q-JackTM ? . . . . . . simplicity The stand base design offers various means of restraint. Each base comes with two cambuckle straps attached to the base. They are attached to always ensure they are available for use – no “walking away”. Pre-attached straps also contribute to significant time reduction. The cambuckle straps are hand tightened without the use of a ratchet mechanism. This allows for quick setup, particularly with a side-resting vehicle where the typical 3-point setup will accomplish final strap tensioning.

Why Res-Q-JackTM ? . . . . . . simplicity Two straps offer more flexible positioning of the stands. Stands with a single strap must be situated directly in front of the strap purchase with the vehicle to avoid sideward base movement. For applications where a single ratchet strap or multiple straps are desired, optional strap hook points are provided on the bases. This method would be employed where the adjustable stands are used in the absence of the jack stand or in a situation where the jack stand will not tighten the adjustable stands. The hook points are provided on both the front and the back of the base to eliminate any confusion in setting the stand. Custom ratchet straps with compatible hooks are available. In addition, holes are provided in the stand bases for a situation where anchoring the bases to a surface is desired.

Why Res-Q-JackTM ? . . . . . . simplicity Each Res-Q-Jack™ model uses only two sizes of tubing. This simplifies system setup. It eliminates fumbling with multiple sizes of tubing, and allows for simple design in end fittings, bases, etc. The end fittings are built with a step in the portion that mates with the stand. This step allows for a snug fit in either tube size. End fittings also incorporate holes on all four sides for quick pinning.

Why Res-Q-JackTM ? . . . . . . simplicity Another unique feature is the sidewind jack which is used to adjust the jack stand. This device is very simple as well. There are no trip levers, directional levers, air hoses, hydraulics, or batteries. Jack adjustment is accomplished by merely winding the crank handle, crank right to tighten/extend, crank left to loosen/retract. Once desired extension is achieved, stop cranking and let go. The jack will not back drive (try pushing a threaded rod through a nut). The jack is pinned to the base with a clevis pin and self locking cotter pin. This allows for rapid removal of the jack from the base in the event it is desired to set the jack up in a ram type configuration. Note: For ram applications such as a dash displacement the heavier model RJ3 is recommended.

Why Res-Q-JackTM ? It’s Versatile ! The simple design described earlier combined with the range of adjustment, interchangeable end fittings, and various base restraint options create a system which is flexible and able to tackle a variety of stabilization challenges.

Why Res-Q-JackTM ? It’s Fast ! All the design features incorporated in the Res-Q-Jack™ Vehicle Stabilization System allow for fast setup. How Fast ? During the 1999 International Extrication Competition, the Sydney River Team from Nova Scotia accomplished side resting vehicle stabilization with the Res-Q-Jack™ System in less than 2 minutes! In preparation for the 2000 World Extrication Competition, the U.S. team from Coral Gables averaged 2 minutes and 5 seconds for side resting vehicle stabilization using the Res-Q-Jack™ System.

Why Res-Q-JackTM ? Just ask our customers: “. . thank you for the information you provided concerning our recent purchase of the Res-Q-Jacks. They are all you said they would be and do all you claimed they would do. We have had the chance to use them in recent training and the firefighters like them very much. Again, thank you. p.s. If you ever need any recommendations on this equipment, especially in the state of Wisconsin or surrounding states, just let me know. “ Chief Mark A. Kluck, Hull Fire Dept., Stevens Point, WI “. . we also carry . . Cepco Tool’s Heavy Duty Res-Q-Jack, this is one of the best tools that we have ever bought, before we bought this we had no way of stabilizing a car on its side, now we can stabilize most anything in a matter of minutes.” FireHouse Forum member post on the University of Extrication Forum

Why Res-Q-JackTM ? It’s Actually Affordable ! After you consider the simplicity, versatility, setup speed, and what others have to say, you should realize that you can’t really afford to be without a Res-Q-Jack™ System. Once you’ve come to this conclusion, you’ll really be pleased with the price! It’s actually something you can afford! This is the best value in vehicle stabilization equipment on the market.
