Foo Gas Foo gas is actually called flame fougasse. fougasse, when ignited with c4 or claymore charges, explodes and shoots flaming liquids out along with shrapnel causing mass amounts of damage. AO

Operation Rolling Thunder Operation rolling thunder was a bombardment of bombs on communist northern vietnamese trade route, into south vietnam. We dropped approx 650,000 tons of bombs in this one attack. AO

Napalm Napalm is a mixture of an agent that is thickening and gelling that also has petroleum. It is used as a weapon that sticks onto a person’s skin and burns when its on fire. The U.S. used it during the Vietnam war. FA

Operation Crimp Operation Crimp was an operation that targeted an important Viet Cong headquarters that was underground. This operation uncovered about 200 km of underground tunnels. There was a of of casualties from both sides. FA

Chinook Large helicopter used for large transport starting in Attempted to be used for artillery movement but served much better as an assault troop carrier. Found to be most useful for casualty evacuation. Generally has an M60 machine gun mounted. SM

Agent Orange One of the herbicides used by the US Military as part of it’s herbicidal warfare run, “Operation Ranch Hand.” Estimated 400,000 were killed/maimed and 500,000 children were born with birth defects. Nature was dramatically disrupted in Vietnam. SM

Iroquois -Helicopter powered by single turbo shaft engine -mainly used for medical evacuation

Phantom jets -Two seat twin engine long range jet inceptor -main jet used by navy and air force

B-52 - Carries up to 70,000 pounds of weapons. - Dropped bombs in certain areas. - Some couldn’t defend against bombs. - Used in operation Linebacker 2.

Huey pounds. - Used for medical assistance. - Also used to deploy bombs. - Enemies fired RPGs to shoot the copters down.
