L. Simmons3 For our example we will export a JT file of this assembly. NOTE: Parts must be un-pruned.
L. Simmons4 For best graphic visual output, change Units to metric mm (kilogram f).
L. Simmons5 Set the Display Filters Wireframe – Parts - Assembly
L. Simmons6 Set the Wireframe Display Filter. Select All Off
L. Simmons7 Set the Parts Display Filter Select All Off
L. Simmons8 Set the Assembly Display Filter Select All Off
L. Simmons9 Turn off Work Plane and Model View Border.
L. Simmons10 Select File-Export from the menus along the top.
L. Simmons11 Select the Top Level Assembly and then OK.
L. Simmons12 The JT Translator window will now open. Select the OPTIONS button.
L. Simmons13 Click on the Advanced button.
L. Simmons14 We now need to adjust the Advanced Export Options. Wireframe – Parts – Assembly – Parts Assembly Annotation Click on the Wireframe button

L. Simmons16 Part Options Select All Off except Precise B-Rep Click on OK and then Assembly Options.
L. Simmons17 Assembly Options Select All Off except Assembly Instances and Part Instances. Click on OK and then Parts Assembly Annotation.
L. Simmons18 Parts & Assembly Annotation Options Select All Off Click on OK and then OK again.
L. Simmons19 To achieve the best quality image at the smallest file size… Take the default number and divide by 3. Click on OK.
L. Simmons20 Options are now set and we can now begin to Export the JT file. Click on Export. Here you can rename the file or accept the default name.
