Eisenhower Desegregated schools On September 24, It was executive order 10730

How It Started First 9 black kids went to Central High School School had National Guard surround to prevent them from coming in Eisenhower called meeting to desegregate the school When kids finally entered a riot broke out.

After the EO Sent federal troops to Little Rock, Arkansas This was to prevent angry mobs First time this happened since reconstruction

How it affects us Our schools are now more diverse There is no desegregation anywhere Even though people are a little racist, the world is much more diverse.

Obama Banned Regan’s executive order to prohibit American funding for abortion Clinton also did this but George W. Bush reversed it This happened on January 22 nd, 2001

Snyder vs. Phelps They were not breaking any laws They were in right areas to protest They were not aiming it towards a certain person They were the legal length away from the funeral to protest.

Roe vs. Wade Debate on weather abortion should be illegal Happened in 1973 Was a huge deal while it was in the supreme court

Roe vs. Wade Roe wanted abortion to be legal up till they girl was viable Wade was debating that abortion should be illegal all together These 2 started a worldwide national debate

Roe vs. Wade Court rule 7-2 with Roe They said the women had due process clause in the 14 th amendment Other side said states had laws saying abortion was taking life They use Roe’s “viable” idea because the baby is not yet able to live

Roe vs. Wade A women could have an abortion up to 3 months because it is her decision Polls showed that more people favored the abortion before 3 months Many more cases have been fought for abortion

Roe vs. Wade How it affects the US –Abortion is debated everyday –States are making own laws about abortion –People disagree and some agree –It will be a debate that goes on forever
