What Is The Jaguarundi ? By: Lillian Willis

The crazy Jaguarundi diet A Jaguarandi eats plenty of different things. Jaguarundi’s likes: Mice, Rats, Rabbits, Opossums, Armadillos, Birds, Reptiles, Fish and Chicken Jaguarundi’s can jump 5 ft. for its prey. A Jaguarundi can crack a Armadillos shell with its claws !

What can eat the Jaguarundi ? A Jaguarundi doesn’t have many predators at all! A Jaguarundi has 2 predators they are Jaguars and Pumas. Jaguarundi’s are good at staying away from these animals. Jaguarundi’s barely get ate because they stay far away from these animals.

Where do we live? The Jaguarundi lives in thick shrubs and heavy brush so people can’t get in and take them away. Jaguarund’s like to live in the woods and forest to stay safe from bad things. A Jaguarundi doesn’t really move to new homes because once it’s comfertable they stay but sometimes they have to move. Jaguarundie’s can be in a lot of different weather so they don’t have to move. My Jaguarundi can live anywhere and fit in with its inviroment.

What consumer am I? A Jaguarundi is a carnivore they only eat animals. Jagurundis like bigger animals so it will last more longer. A Jaguarundi will cover their big animal they killed with some leaves or sticks. A Jaguarundi has to go hunting as soon as all the meat is gone. A Jaguarundi will start licking its lips when its hungery.

Jaguarundi adaptations A Jaguarundi has sharp claws to capture its animal. They have a long tail to keep balance when they jump. They have short legs to creep up on their prey without them knowing. They have 4 sharp teeth to tare open its prey.

Would a Jaguarundi make a good pet? Some people keep Jaguarundis as house pets. Jaguarundis are better of in the wild because that’s what its adaptations are made for. A Jaguarundi hates it in houses because they can’t catch their own food. A Jaguarundi can’t move around much in a cage. The only thing not wrong is a jaguarundi doesn’t hibernate or migrate.
