Leadership as an Implementation Driver 2

Effective meetings extend before and after the actual meeting time. BEFORE: Set agenda and send to team Collect data, review, and prepare summary statements DURING: Follow agenda & time frames Review data Make precision problem statements Develop solutions Take notes and set action items AFTER: Complete action items Follow-up on action item status 3

The importance of systems review The leadership team plays a critical role in developing systems to support universal and targeted practices  Create procedures for all targeted interventions.  Communicate to staff and families  Create links between universal and targeted systems 4

As a leadership team: 1. Use the Leadership Team Meeting Self-Assessment tool to reflect on the functionality of your leadership team meetings. 2. Review the targeted level systems checklist and planning tool to assess the systems that support your leadership team. 3. Be prepared to share with the large group the following:  One strength of your leadership team based on your self- assessment.  One action step that your team identified after reviewing your system supports.
