What is the rapture? 1 Thess. 4:13-17 The words "caught up" in v. 17 are translated with a Latin word from which comes the English "rapture"

What is the rapture? The rapture is the coming of the Lord in the air for His saints. The Lord gives believers who have died and those who are alive new bodies. His coming can occur at any time.

When is the rapture? 1 Thess. 5:1-10 v. 2 - "thief in the night" ***key idea*** v. 3 - "sudden destruction" = v. 9 - "wrath" v "salvation" from (temporal) wrath

Matt. 24:29-41 Context = The end of the Age 1. The Sign of His (second) Coming The Fig Tree ("all these things" - signs!) 3. The Days of Noah "day and hour" = "time" (Mk. 13:32-33)

Matt. 24:42-44 = Jesus' application "Watch...for you do not know..." "...if the master of the house had known..." "...be ready...at an hour when you do not expect Him"

Luke 12:35-40 "Watch" "Be ready" "coming at an hour you do not expect"

As a thief... 2 Pet. 3:10 - The Day of the Lord compressed Rev. 3:3-4, 11 - Sardis and Philadelphia *** "watch...thief...you will not know..." *** Issue = godly living *** Issue = rewards Rev. 16:15 - "thief...watches...keeps"

"You do not know..." The Scripture is clear. We need to watch. We need to be ready. Jesus is coming when we don't expect.

"You do not know..." The only time that fits is the pre-Tribulation rapture. We do not know when He might come. And that's for the best.
