Common Illnesses Whooping Cough

It is a communicable disease that spreads rapidly in children.

CAUSES Unbalanced diet Sudden change in the climate when travelling.

SYMPTOMS Pain in the throat. Continuous coughing Uneasiness Sensation of swelling in the throat. Headaches

TREATMENT We must isolate the child. We should let him/her rest. We should clean the child´s mouth with warm water mixed with salt. We must go to the doctor.

PREVENTION BEFORE: We should have a balanced diet. We should avoid sudden climate changes. AFTER: We must not let other children come in direct contact with the patient. The patient should use a handkerchief when sneezing or coughing. We should take medication.
