OVERVIEW  Environmental Issues  Ethical Issues

ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES  Manufacture Stage Use of tin/lead and other chemicals in the production of the PCB’s. Various chemicals used to create the design’s components (LCD, Microcontroller, Multiplexers, etc.).  Normal Use Stage ON: Not more than 100mA. Stand-by: Less than 30mA OFF: No power consumption.  Disposal/Recycling Stage Proper processing of PCB and Integrated Circuit components to ensure safe disposal/recycling of non-biodegradable and hazardous materials.

ETHICAL ISSUES  Failing Parts TI Microcontroller, Codec, LED’s and analog components, might fail over time. All circuit components and additional peripherals used when testing might be damaged if not compatible.  Safety Concerns Overheat of voltage regulators may lead to combustion of packaging or other circuit parts (Highly unlikely).

SUMMARY  Environmental Issues Use of chemicals. No more than 100mA when ON and less than 30mA on Stand-by mode. Safe Disposal/Recycling of electrical components.  Ethical Issues Parts might fail overtime or if misused. Combustion (i.e. Fire).
