Sheena Paterson BBSC 303 Assignment 1A Interim hand in
Story The World Cultural Museum. The architects concept consists of a clearly marked difference between the solid west facade and the open west façade. The open transparent facade will allow museum visitors to experience the exterior landscape from different vantage points, and also reveal the interior to people visiting the adjacent Lisberg Park. Circulation weaves its way between the solid, the transparent and the services void in the middle. As you move upwards in the building the elements, which are seen from below, are gradually perceived from above, creating a sequence of reference points throughout the building. It is these reference points that I will focus on showing a journey through the museum, using the main reference points in the building as orientation points. The main reference points are the main stairs in the entrance foyer, the projecting gallery, the cantilevered library. Renders will contain these elements
Exterior view from the road
Exterior render of entrance and glass foyer
Interior render of main stairs
Render from exterior looking at the cantilevered library
Interior render of cantilevered library
Interior render going up the stairs towards the hanging gallery and cantilevered library
Interior view from stairs up towards the library and hanging gallery
