 The mission of Avondale High is to prepare all students for college by blending rigorous academic and vocational studies, providing numerous opportunities for Advanced Placement courses, and creating a culture of high expectations.

“Every Child. Every Day. College Bound.”

To provide all students access to a relevant and rigorous curriculum by integrating technology into daily lessons in order to allow students to become competitive job seekers in a technologically driven society.

Strengths All classrooms are equipped with the latest technology (Smart-Boards. Promethean Boards, LCD Projectors, clickers). Four mobile labs equipped with wireless internet and learning technology Virtual Classrooms Weaknesses Ongoing teacher training Utilization of current technology Intimidation of technology Teacher complacency Follow-up/Follow- through(monitoring) Opportunities Federal Funds (Title I) Grants (STEM) Expanded services to meet broader range of student needs Arrival of new technology Threats Incomplete mandatory training Ensure time borrowed from the designated training day does not result in staff failing to complete statutory/mandatory training; leading to local authority censure.
