Prof. Liang-Chien Chen Seminar Regulations RS6001 RS6003 CI 8031

Class starts at 10:00 Thursday. Should you be late in coming to the class for more than five minutes, identify yourself upon entering the classroom. Any change to the presentation roster must be made through your advisor and the professors in charge of the seminar.

Post a one-page (A4) abstract of your presentation on the board outside R2-116 by 17:00 Tuesday in the week of your scheduled presentation. The format of the abstract should be: 1) title; 2) your institute, grade and name; 3) your advisor; 4) body of the abstract; and 5) reference(s).

In case of an extension of previous presentation, prepare your abstract in the following structures: 1) general introduction; 2) previous works; and 3) current status, new findings and achievements. All abstracts and presentation materials, including figure legends, captions and tables, must be in English.

The available time for each presentation is 20 minutes, including 15 minutes of oral presentation and 5 minutes of Q & A. The presentation should also be made in English. All abstracts and presentation materials must be reviewed and approved by your advisor before your scheduled presentation.

Submit a written report summarizing your presentations to your advisor in the end of the semester. Grading Scheme  Presentation and Interaction: 70%  Participation: 10%  Written Report: 20%
