Gambling Disorder Gambling Disorder included in the DSM-5 chapter on Substance Related and Addictive Disorders. This category was in the “Impulse Control Disorders Not Elsewhere Classified” section of DSM-IV-TR.

Substance-Related Disorders Number of symptoms required for designation “severe” increased from 4 in the DSM-IV-TR to 6 in the DSM-5 Criterion that user persists despite knowing the use causes problems is removed
