Princes Trust Safeguarding Policy

Who does The Trusts policy apply to? Children - therefore anyone under the age of 18 accessing PT services Vulnerable adults accessing PT services - those who are or may need community care services by reason of mental or other disability, age and illness and who may be unable to take care of themselves or unable to protect themselves against significant harm or exploitation. Children of adult clients

What should be reported to The Trust? Anything that has triggered your own DP’s safeguarding procedures Any incident involving concerns of:  Physical abuse  Emotional Abuse  Sexual Abuse  Neglect Involving a child or vulnerable adult accessing PT services

When to report to The Trust If the incident or concern involves someone under the age of 18 the report should be made the same working day If the person involved is over 18 the report should be made as soon as possible and discussed with one of The Trust’s Safeguarding Advisers
