OBJECTIVES Miss Diligent Africa TM is a pageantry for African girls aged years and are 1.60m and taller. Scheduled to be organized every year since its first edition on April , the pageantry will serve as a platform for our young African girls to correlate their passion for fashion to the solving of the societal ills and environmental issues plaguing our communities and our beautiful continent. It seeks to identify and promote positive values in the African woman. It is a forum for girls to interact and share their ideas and common challenges. Miss Diligent Africa 2012 winner Miss Ewelisane Helen

The inspiration behind the Miss Diligent Africa TM pageant is generated from an observation of some positive values out of a lady’s life, considering the circumstances and conditions that women are faced with in the search for a successful life. To be able to live and make an impact in our world, a woman needs to be diligent: as in being hard working, innovative, creative, smart, intelligent, steady, kindhearted, God – fearing, decent, loving, caring and responsible. In summing up all these qualities, we can better use one phrase to describe such a lady: A Diligent African Woman, Miss Diligent Africa TM. This pageant goes far beyond physical beauty although physical beauty has its own place. Character, a strong personality, eloquence, cultural ties, intelligence, knowledge and how smart a girl is, is very important when it comes to this competition as it constitutes 70% of the competition.
