Monday, March 9 th, 2015  “My Father Bleeds History”  “And Here My Troubles Began” With a partner briefly explain each’s significance between both titles.

Objectives:  SWBAT understand and utilize McCloud’s 6 panel transitions.  SWBAT summarize previous works of literature through comic strips.

Scott McCloud World Known Comic theorist Created the 6 panel transitions: moment –to- moment 2. Action –to- action 3. Subject –to- subject 4. Scene –to- scene 5. Aspect –to- aspect 6. Non- sequitur

Panel creation  Choose a scene from Night  Create the scene through 6 panels  Use 3 of McCloud’s panel transitions * Stick Figures are ok but not suggested

Homework  Read Chapter 3  Identify 5 instances of irony within the text.  Explain the significance.
