Video Conferencing in the classroom

Primary Languages Video Conferencing  Cornwall learning currently delivers 10 week training programmes in the teaching of languages to primary schools around the county.  Schools receive fortnightly VC lessons and detailed lesson plans and resources along with planning meetings and staff twilight training sessions. detailed lesson plans and resources along with planning meetings and staff twilight training sessions.

 Receiving lessons via video conferencing  Linking with schools in the UK and abroad  Using video conferencing for teaching and training

Teaching via video conferencing A French lesson with a Cornish primary school

Equipment used in conjunction with the VC camera  MP4 player (we use an ipod) for showing still images and film clips.  Visualiser for real objects, writing on mini whiteboard, pictures, games etc  Laptop, VGA to composite converter, 3 way composite switch

Other lesson providers The number of lesson providers is constantly growing. History, Science, English, Languages and Citizenship are just a few of the subject areas covered. Look at Global Leap and Cleo for ideas and information.
