MTSS Procedure Manual Definition: what is MTSS, research based instruction & interventions applied at all levels to support student learning. Data based problem solving approach Outcomes: curriculum is aligned to state stds., focus on prevention, early intervention, data based decision making, provide ongoing support, etc.

Procedures for Implementation Benchmark Assessment FWS Grade level teams meet to analyze data Select students for interventions Progress monitoring Grade level teams meet every 6 weeks to review data Initiate Tier 3 services as warranted by IPS Team Review IPS data every 6 weeks Special Ed Entitlement

Decision Making Guidelines Tier 1 – 80% of students Targeted Tier 1 – benchmarking data between 25 th & 50 th %ile Tier 2 – benchmarking data below 25 th %ile Tier 3 – students are only considered Tier 3 once an IPS referral has been made by the grade level team.

Decision Making Guidelines Criteria for movement down a level: 9 weeks at current intervention with 1 revised intervention 3 consecutive data below the aimline ROI below average PM at 10 th %ile or below Intervention is administered with integrity Team agreement

Decision Making Guidelines Criteria for movement up a level: 6-9 weeks of intervention 3 consecutive data points above aimline PM data at 25 th %ile or above ROI is average Team agreement
