Pupil Premium Strategy Raising Attainment

Pupil Premium Pupil Premium money has been used robustly to accelerate attainment. The academy has been effective in implementing Tier 1 and Tier 2 of the Raising Attainment programme. The focus for is to develop and implement Tier 3 which will offer a fine tuned individual programme to raise attainment.

Tier One The academy has focused upon consistent outstanding quality of teaching. This has been achieved through strengthening teachers: whole school training coaching support by senior staff department training. The focus for Meta cognition Oral Feedback as part of the marking programme These techniques have proven outcomes and continue to enhance the learning experience for all.

Tier 2 The academy has focused on a variety of robust programmes. These are implemented in either class groups, small groups, or individually. These programmes are integrated into the whole school provision and focuses upon developing and improving: Literacy and Numeracy Speech, Language and Communication needs Personal skills and developing individual qualities Extending opportunities for students

Tier 3 (Proposal ) The academy should focus upon the next step to offer a individual programme of study to support those students who strive to accelerate their attainment. The academy is ready to undertake a new initiative Studio 7 this could include having our own Tuition Centre. The academy’s Tuition Centre would offer individual support and small group sessions with a learning coach to complete a ‘Tutor for me programme’ and a Breakfast learning club 7.30 – 8.15.

Tuition Centre Graduate Achievement Coaches Students are allocated a place in the Tuition Centre to accelerate literacy and numeracy skills. Places are allocated out of the school day and should include Saturdays and Holiday sessions. Students should be allocated a place for a 10 week period, two times a week. Programmes would include Personal Reading programme (Success maker) Writing programmes Maths Programmes Any other subject required

How do we decide? The academy should complete a simple Audit to outline our needs. Where are the barriers to learning? What are the desired outcomes? Identify the success criteria As an academy we are striving to accelerate progress which can be achieved through continually improving: Quality of teaching Literacy across the school Numeracy across the school
