Plurals Plural words name more than one thing. Most words can be made plural by just adding –s. barn - barns notebook - notebooks

Plurals Words that end with s, ss, ch, o, x, or z plural, need –es to be plural. bus - buses dress - dresses bunch - bunches

To make words that end in a consonant and y plural, we change y to i, and add – es. family - families If y is preceded by a vowel, just add –s. boy - boys

To make words that end in f plural, we change f to v, and add –es. leaf - leaves wolf - wolves
