The Teaching of the Fifth Seal and Its Prophets, Bab/Bahá Lecture Given at The Feast Of Tabernacles 2000

When Did the Fifth Seal Start? 1.It started in eternity (EDP started in eternity). 2.Who was the first spiritual teacher to humanity? God through His son, Adam (male/female). 3.But when did it start historically (scriptually)? 4.God chose Abram (father of a nation) to start a historical/spiritual event.

God Blessed Abram 1.God called upon Abram to leave his family and go to a new land. 2.God blessed Abram.

The Name of Abram Was Changed to Abraham, and the Same Blessings Were Also Given to Abraham 1.God gave a new name to Abram. He is called Abraham (father of many nations). 2.God gave the same promises He gave to Abram, to Abraham. 3.The promises were the birthright (material blessing) and spiritual domination (scepter, spiritual kingship).

The Blessings of the Birthright and Scepter Given to Abram and Abraham Were for the Children of Hagar (Arabs) and Sarah (The Hebrews) This part of our teaching was discussed in the lecture we gave in 1992 and in 1991 in the Feasts of Tabernacles. From here on, this year, we will concentrate on the prophecies given for the coming of the two Prophets of the Bab'í/Baha'i Faiths

The Next Prophets Would Not Come From the Children Of Abram/Abraham Although by the coming of Christ and Muhammad the promises given to the Children of Abram/Abraham were fulfilled, Muslims still believed that the next Prophet (Mahdi) would come from the lineage of Prophet Muhammad. Bab was from the lineage of Prophet Muhammad; Bahá'u'lláh was not. Note: Previously a lecture was given on the Fifth Seal (Bab'í/Baha’i Faith). To supplement this lecture, read that lecture as well. No two lectures are alike. Each time a lecture is given, new materials might be added to the topic.lecture

Bab Came As The Promised Prophet After Prophet Muhammad 1.Islam after Prophet Muhammad (Sunni and Shi’a). 2.What Bab means (Immamies and Ishmaelis, etc.).

I s l a m Shi’a 1 2 I m m a m i sI s h m a e l i s A k h b a r i e sO s u l i sS u f i sM u s t a l a n sN i z a r i sS h y k h i s M u j t a h i d sM e s s i a n i c B a b a n d B a b i ‘ s A s s a s s i n s B a h a ‘ i s A z a l i s Now are split into many branches S a b b a h Shi’as (From Islam To The Bab'í/Bahá'í Movements) S u n n i

Ali Muhammad’s Life Before He Became The Bab 1.Was not a very attentive student. 2.Became a merchant. 3.Was honest in his dealings. 4.Went to Iraq and met Sheikhies. 5.Became The Bab after He Revealed His Station to the Sheikhi followers.

Báb's Life and His Mission After His Declaration of His Station 1.Spread of the Bab'í’ movement. 2.Opposition of Islamic clergy (Mujdaheds) to the movement. 3.Support by the Shah of the movement. 4.Support by the governor of the second largest city in Iran (Isfahan) of the movement. 5.Opposition of the government to the Bab and His Movement. 6.He was put into prison. 7.Writing of the Bayan (His Holy Book). 8.The government decided to execute him. 9.Bab claimed to be a Major Manifestation. 10.He realized the end was near and chose one of His followers (Subh'i-I-Azal) as his successor. 11.The clergy persecuted him and ruled that he should be executed by a firing squad. 12.He was executed.

Bab'í's Movement After The Bab 1.They became increasingly militant. 2.The clergy stirred people against them. 3.Many were Martyred (as in The Revelation). 4.Attempt on the Shah’s life by Bab'í's. 5.Further persecution and execution of many Bab'í's. 6.Subh'i Azal fled to Iraq. 7.His brother, Husayn Ali (Bahá'u'lláh), was put into prison. 8.Bahá'u'lláh also went to Iraq. 9.Opposition of Bab'ís and Azal'ís to Bahá'u'lláh. 10.Bahá'u'lláh was excommunicated. 11.Bahá'u'lláh returned. 12.He claimed he is the true successor of Bab.

Báb's Movement After Bahá'u'lláh's Claim 1.Many accepted his claim. 2.Bab'ís movement was changed to Bahá'ís. 3.Subh'i' Azal was put down and Báb's movement became secondary to Bahá'ís. 4.Mr. Brown (the Cambridge University orientalist) went to Iran to find more about Bab and His movement. 5.No one was talking about Bab anymore. All credit was going to Bahá now. 6.Mr. Brown asked about Subh'i' Azal. They either denied such a person existed, and/or had derogatory words about him. 7.The old history of Báb's movement and new history after Bahá'u'lláh. 8.Bahá'ís movement came to the West. 9.Bahá'ís after Bahá (conflict on who is the successor). 10.Abdu'l-Baha became Bahá's successor.

Spread of Baha'i Movement By Abdu'l-Baha 1.Abdu'l-Baha brought the Teachings further to the West. 2.Bab/Baha'i Teachings flourished in America. 3.It came to the West so when our Teachings are Revealed we would know about this part of God’s Plan.

Baha'i Faith After Abdu'l-Baha 1.He was succeeded by his grandson, Shoghi Effendi. 2.Problem with succession again (manipulation of the will). 3.Shoghi Effendi institutionalized the faith. 4.This again shows that our system is more complete, as we already have Revealed how the system in the Mission will develop.

Baha'i Faith After Shoghi Effendi 1.Again a great upheaval was created after Shoghi Effendi died. He left no successor, and the Baha'i Faith split into splinters. 2.Bahá'ís do not have the guardian, an essential part of the faith, as envisioned by Abdu'l-Baha. 3.Two main branches of Bahá'ís: The main stream and the Orthodox. 4.Many other smaller groups are also formed. 5.Martyrdom of more Bahá'ís after the Iranian revolution (Was predicted in The Revelation chapter 6:9-11).chapter 6: Baha'i Faith no longer is what the founders envisioned.

What Did Bab and Bahá Accomplish? 1.They brought the seal of Universalism to humanity and Revealed it as a part of the Eternal Divine Path (EDP). 2.With this, the EDP is complete, and Paravipras can be created!

Has Humanity Understood Their Message? 1.They brought the Universalism to humanity. We, however, still have wars and separation among men. 2.With all the progress Baha'i Faith has accomplished, it is still a small minority. 3.Humanity still has not realized (are asleep!) where in God’s Revelation the Baha'i Faith was Prophesied to come (in the beginning of The Revelation chapter 3).chapter 3

Spiritual Message of the Fifth Seal 1.Symbolic meaning of the life of Bab and Bahá (symbol of the first five seals). 2.Symbolic meaning of Bab being Crucified (Christ) and Bahá (Prophet Muhammad) living like a King! 3.Universal point of view is needed to complete the EDP. 4.Only with Universalism present, in the EDP, can the Communities Of Light be Manifested. 5.Each person has to go through the Eternal Divine Path.

Relationship Between the Fifth Seal and The Greatest Sign 1.It is the Fifth Seal in The Greatest Sign. 2.It shows that, although the rest of the EDP is necessary, we still need to create the Universal feeling (Love the whole Universe) in order for the Communities Of Light to manifest. 3.It is a part of the Plan of God. 4.Bab and Bahá as Twin Prophets, fulfilled the Prophecy of the coming of the Twin Prophets in the Scriptures. 5.It is a part of The Great Truth: The Greatest Sign and The Eternal Divine Path, and from God.

Each Seal In The Great est Sign Is a Part of a Greater Truth. The Whole Is Greater Than Each Part 1.Each Sign in The Great est Sign is a part of a Greater Truth (The Great est Sign and the Eternal Divine Path). 2.The Whole is Greater than the parts. 3.The Whole has many different parts, as the body has many different organs.

The Whole Has Life. Separate Each Organ (Part) From the Body (Whole), and No Life Will Exist 1.When these different parts (organs) are put together, life can be manifested. Separate them and the parts (organs) are lifeless. 2.These organs together still need Spirit to have life. Without Spirit they still will be lifeless. 3.The Mission as the body and its components (parts) has to be received in whole. Our Teachings are the Spirit (Life) giving life to these parts. These together will Manifest the KOHOE. 4.Accepting only one (or a few) part(s) of the Mission and rejecting other parts is like receiving a few organs of the body and expecting to have a normal life (receiving life). It will not work.

However, Parts Are Needed For Life To Manifest! Each part, however, is necessary for the body (Mission) to function properly. Of course, some organs (parts) are more vital than others, such as the brain in the body. If it is not there, the body will die. Some others are not that vital but they are good to have (followed, accepted, etc.).

The Greatest Sign and the Eternal Divine Path Are the Answer For Human Salvation, Physically, Mentally and Spiritually; Individually and Collectively 1.The Mission is the whole body, and soul. It has Life. 2.Any separated part (not accepting the whole) makes the whole to die fast. 3.It Unifies all the Great Religions of the world. 4.It fulfills the Prophecies. 5.It shows the way to bring the KOHOE. 6.It bring individual and collective salvation to humanity. 7.It shows the shortest Path to the Highest Spiritual Achievement. 8.It is the answer to all human longings, physically, mentally, emotionally and Spiritually; individually and/or collectively.
