Salvation comes via God’s grace Ephesians 2:4-5 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

Romans 3:22b-24 There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

There can be no mistake: We are saved by God’s grace; that is, by God sending his son to live a sinless life as a human and to be sacrificed on the cross so our sins can be removed Nothing we can do can earn us salvation, regardless of how hard we work and how many good deeds we may do

What about good works (good deeds)? Does it really not matter what we do or not do?

The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Grace AND Works As Christians, we are expected, even commanded, to do good works, and we will be judged by what we do. Our works reflect what is in our hearts (like the sheep & goats). Salvation comes through God’s grace to remove the sins of His children through his Son. One can be saved without doing any good works (hypothetical example).
