Methodology  Work with national church planters  LBM remains behind the scenes  Everything is done through the local church  The Lord is glorified  The church is the hands and feet of Jesus  Promotes ownership by the church members guarding against a mentality of dependency

History  Began in 2004  Began 1 st church plant in POA in 2005  POA 0.3% evangelical  POA 4.5 million people, 250,000 in the slums  Five church plants in greater POA as of 2009  Over 25, 000 lbs of food distributed  Thousands of meals served  Blankets and warm clothing distributed  School supplies, medicine, shoes, etc.

Vila Safira  In the most dangerous community in POA  Due to drug trafficking  Major crack cocaine problem  2 nd lowest standard of living in POA  Large portion of population forcibly relocated from other slums  Currently relocating 1200 families to the area
