John White and people needed a land and new place to live.

John White went to the Queen to ask to get a new land Roanoke.

John White got the new land and started to sail to the land. On the boat there was men and little women.

In 1587 the colonists arrived in Roanoke with little supplies. Roanoke was a land with very poor soil and planting crops was useless.

The colonists are all making house for their new land on Roanoke island. On August 18, 1587 Virginia Dare was born.

The colony was out of food and supplies hungry and cold in Roanoke. The colony did not get their food or supplies and a harsh winter going on.

John White went back to England to get food and supplies. He was gone for 3 years.

John White came back to Roanoke. He could not find anyone only a tree that said Croatoan. John White did not know what it meant.

People believe that the colony started living with the Native Americans, tried to sail a ship and got lost, John White found the skeleton but did not tell.

I think that the colonists died because they had no food and supplies but John White did not tell so they still had people that would come back to Roanoke.
