  On your desks you with find a group of four essays stapled together. You will read and grade each essay on a scale from 1-4.  1 being well below standard and 4 being exemplar.  What elements made the best essay exemplary!  Organization & Progression  Development of Ideas  Language Conventions  Which essay was a 4?  Persuasive Essay Rubric In your group you will now make a rubric for an Exemplary Persuasive Essay. I have given you the rubric that the state of Texas uses to grade the STAAR. Your task is to translate the state’s rubric into simpler language so we can create an Anchor Chart for the classroom. Each group needs to put your version of the Rubric into the “Notes” section of your Notebook. Each group will need to be prepared to present their Rubric to the class You will have 15 to 20 minutes
