objectives The objective of this survey is to be able to know the importance and impacts of the festivals for the Chinese. Also to know what they like, dislike and do during these Chinese celebrations. This will also make us aware of the similarities and differences done during Chinese festivals and the Philippine's festivals. It will make us have a deeper understanding of the Chinese culture.

According to the survey conducted, most of the people said that the Chinese festivals do keep the culture and traditions. The different Chinese festivals really were made to keep the culture alive through the generations. Since the festivals have been present since almost the start of the Chinese culture from real events that happened in the history of China, the group thinks that they have been passing down the teachings and traditions from the olden days up till now. Now, the festivals haven't changed much in the true meaning of the festival through the years, helping it serve its purpose to keep the culture alive in the present day.

We believe that the reason why majority chose family rather than friends and other people is because one's own family is the first community that a person is introduced to, even before friends, co-workers and the like. The family usually has the closest bonds with each other, which gives them even more of a reason to celebrate the festivals together. The festivals are always a joyous occasion for all to mingle and get together. People probably like to get together with the family and be with them more often.

The Chinese has a very long and colorful culture. To show this, China has many festivals to express what the traditions and cultures mean and came to be what they are today. Because of that, the enjoyment is in the celebrations that practice the culture and traditions of the olden Chinese. To be able to learn the culture and all of the traditions, you must learn togetherness in celebrating them as the Chinese traditions call for unity, and you must know how to appreciate and gain initiative.

The many different festivals are a time for entertainment and to be with each other. Besides culture, festivals are being enjoyed by the Chinese people because it's a time for them to get together with their loved ones. Being together with one another is sort of like connecting people to family and friends. During these festivals, the Chinese have fun and celebrate their beliefs and traditions with others. In short, these festivities help the Chinese become one and unified, therefore strengthening their bonds with each other.

According to the data gathered, the Spring festival is one of the favorite and most enjoyed among the rest of the other festivals. The whole China gathers and celebrates as one in enjoying the festival. As they celebrate the new year, they think of it as a time for good luck and prosperity. During the Chinese New Year, the festival is usually celebrated with the whole family. This is to remember about what happened in the past year, and look forward to a better year.

To be able to bond with each other, the Chinese must socialize and communicate with their family and friends. Besides cultural aspects, the festivals aim to accomplish getting closer to loved ones. With gatherings, celebrations and feasts, they unite the Chinese as one. All of them have the same kind of ideology, which makes the social celebrations more meaningful and makes them apply to all of the festivals.

Naturally, most would consider them a big part of their life since it has been with them since childhood; something more sentimental. Passing down the culture and traditions to the generation today with all of the modern day distractions would also be hard.
