This pdf tool was created by Utah State University for the specific purpose of fluidly organizing your course structure. This pdf has been formatted already, so all you need to do is to quickly add some basic information and your schedule is built. This info then efficiently folds into Canvas and presents the structure of your materials. Watch this 7-minute video for an excellent demonstration of how to use this tool.

 Refer to the Schedule you just created using the Schedule Builder. Use that information as the outline for completing the Placeholder Activity below. Once you’ve created all of the placeholders, then organize them onto the “Modules” tab.  Create “Assignments” placeholders (Dropbox, Discussion, Quizzes)  Create “Pages” placeholders (Weekly Instructions)  Create “Modules”  Build out each module with the content placeholders you’ve created ◦ In Canvas, Assignments, Pages, Discussions, Quizzes are each individual pieces that are organized into a whole in the Modules section. ◦ Modules are distinguishable from the individual Assignments, Pages, etc. by the ability to allow access prerequisites such as those that are used when setting a learning path.
